SPECIAL EDUCATION

COACHING AND Consulting

Special education consultant for students, parents, and teachers.

Let me take the guesswork out of special ed paperwork and help students succeed.

The special education process can be confusing. There is so much information. All of the forms, tests, and meetings can be a lot to take in. This process can move too fast or slow.

  • Students can fall behind academically.
  • Parents’ questions often go unanswered.
  • Teachers and staff can easily be overwhelmed while providing classroom instruction and support.

Students with diverse needs should be given the best chance to succeed but supporting them doesn’t have to be confusing or overwhelming.

Answers, Paths Forward, and Optimal Outcomes

I offer a holistic approach that strengthens your understanding of the process while we focus on your student’s specific needs. I collaborate with you to create a comprehensive plan to support your student in and out of school.

You’re not alone. I am here to help.

Where can I even begin to talk about a person who has been instrumental in both my life but more importantly my son’s life. Lauren’s compassion and patience lead to my son developing self-esteem and believing in himself. She was able to teach him to believe in himself beyond his learning disability. Lauren not only worked with my son but she listened to my concerns as well. She was crucial in helping my son finally have a correct diagnosis and then services to go along. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

T. Ryland

Lauren empowered me to face a school district that was pushing kids off of their educational plans. I doubted myself when it came to telling the school what I needed and what my child needed. She reminded me to be mindful of how my child was thinking and feeling about his challenges which helped him to advocate more for himself. She took me through the steps of setting up a new evaluation with the school and advocate for the things I knew would help him be more successful. With her help, my child and I were both able to be more vocal and realize that we are central to the planning process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Learn How Mind Motives Can Help You

How do I know if my child has a disability?

It is recommended that you talk to your child’s pediatrician if you are having concerns about their mental, behavioral or physical health. Deficits in any of these areas could directly affect your child’s school performance. If your child is having trouble making progress at school, it may be time to take a look at their overall performance at school and possibly request special education testing.

How do I have my child evaluated for Special Education?

You can request an evaluation by writing a letter to your school principal or special education administrator. You can also discuss these issues with your child’s pediatrician. They will be able to provide you with information and referrals concerning your child’s overall mental and behavioral health.
